All new in 2024, the Tacoma is unchanged for 2025.

All Tacomas feature the crewcab (Double Cab in Toyota speak) body style. The Tacoma is available with cargo bed lengths of five or six feet. The six-foot box model is 333 mm longer than the five-foot variant. Power availability include a 278 horsepower 2.4L turbo four and a 2.4L turbo four hybrid that produces a combined 326 horsepower. Four-wheel drive is standard and transmission choices are a six-speed manual on the conventional model with an eight-speed automatic on both the conventional and hybrid models.

Conventional

The Tacoma is equipped with a comprehensive active safety suite including active cruise control and blind spot, rear cross traffic and lane departure monitors. The base six-foot model, the SR5, is equipped with alloy wheels, heated front seats and L.E.D. headlights. The TRD Sport upgrade adds alloy pedals, larger wheels, fog lights and garage door opener buttons. The TRD Sport+ model includes a sunroof, a trailer brake controller, door-mirror-mounted turn signals, wireless cellphone charging, power front seats, a JBL-branded audio system and clearance sonar. The TRD Sport Premium features a 400v power point, a 14 inch infotainment screen, a 360 degree camera system, trailer brakes, a dual-zone climate system, ventilated front seats and cast aluminum running boards. The TRD Off Road model is a dedicated off-road variant with Bilstein dampers, under body protection, downhill assent, crawl control, multi-terrain select and a locking rear differential. The five-foot box models are offered in the TRD Sport+, TRD Off Road trims and TRD Off Road Premium trims, with the first two available with manual transmission.

Hybrid

Confusing, overlapping model range but no overlaps between the conventional and hybrid powertrains to allow for an opinion on the price of the hybrid powertrain.

The Limited trim, with power front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, fog lights, dual-zone climate control, a power tailgate, power running boards a sunroof, a 360 degree camera system, a JBL audio system, wireless cellphone charging, a head up display, a 2400 AC power outlet and garage opener buttons.

The TRD Off Road Premium, with Bilstein shocks, downhill assist, crawl control and underbody protection plates, is geared toward serious off-road work. Luxury equipment includes acoustic door glass, eight-way power front seats, a JBL-branded audio system, wireless cellphone charging and a moonroof. The TRD Pro and Trailhunter seem to overlap with the TRD Off Road Premium trim.
