Mercedes-Benz GLC 2025

New for 2025 are 350e 4Matic PHEV versions of the conventional GLC CUV and the Coupe body styles. The GLC 63 S E Performance coupe is new for 2025.

The base, and best-selling powertrain for the GLC lineup is a 2L turbo four mated with a 48 volt mild hybrid system that provides 255 combined system horsepower and 295 lb.ft. of torque. Power reaches all four wheels via a conventional 10-speed automatic transmission. New this year but only on the conventional body, is the 350e 4matic, a PHEV with an impressive 87 kilometers of range, 313 total system horsepower and 406 lb.ft. of torque. The next step up is the AMG GLC 43, powered by a 2L turbo four that is rated at 416 horsepower but a fairly anemic 369 lb.ft. or torque. The top variant is the crazy GLC 63 AS E Performance that combines a 2L turbo four and plug-in hybrid system that combine to produce 671 horsepower and a stout 752 lb.ft. of torque. Power for both the 43 and 63 variants reach all wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. The PHEV range is stated to be only 14 kilometers.

The base trim and most popular model, the GCL300, starts at $59,000. The Exclusive and Pinnacle trim packages are overpriced. The $2500 Driver Assistance package, with a forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot, rear cross traffic and forward cross traffic monitors, a lane keep assist system, traffic sign recognition, active cruise control, route based speed adaptation and evasive steer assist, is good value but its features are often standard on much more modest vehicles. Stepping up to the PHEV variant, the 350e, costs $5900 more than the GLC300. The extra power of the GLC AMG 43 comes at a massive $16,300 premium compared to the GLC 350e. The hyper-performance AMG GLC 63 is priced nearly $30,000 more than the 43 variant. Vinyl seating is standard, with leather priced at $2100 for regular leather and $3400 for Nappa-processed leather. Metallic paint costs $950 for “normal” metallics, and $2300 to 4200 for the special Manufaktur hues.

Low volume car, little reliability information. Below average reliability predicted especially as the vehicle ages. Short, four year/80,000 kilometer powertrain warranty. Mercedes pre-paid scheduled maintenance plan is recommended.
