The CT5 is updated for 2025 in the spring of 2024. The mid-cycle update features a new front fascia, grille and headlamps outside with cabin revisions include a wide and shallow horizontal touch screen.

Mainstream power units, a 2L turbo four with 237 horsepower and a 335 horsepower 3L V6, return for 2025. Oddly, for Canada, rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive, is available with the 2L four and 3L V6. The sole transmission offered in a 10-speed automatic except for the six-speed manual transmission offered on the V8 Blackwing model.

The high-performance V Series is powered by a 325 horsepower V6 turbo and the Blackwing has a , the 2.7L turbo four, with the Blackwing featuring a 688 horsepower, 6.2L supercharged V8, under the hood. The Blackwing is offered with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Oddly for Canada, the CT5 is offered with rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive a $2200 option on the Premium, Sport and V Series models and models. The base model, the 2L Premium, with a full active safety package, heated, ventilated and power front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather seating, active L.E.D. headlights, rain sense wipers and GM’s Active Cruise 1, limited self driving suite. Moving to the Sport brings trunk spoiler, alloy pedals, front seat bottom cushion extenders but loses leather seating in favour of vinyl, at the same price as the Premium, but the lack of leather makes it a bit pricey. The V Series is powered by a 3L turbo V6 and is priced over $12,000 more than a 2L Premium. The Blackwing model has a 688 horsepower supercharged V8 under its hood. It is vastly more expensive than the V6 turbo. The Blackwing comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with automatic costing more than $10,000 extra.

No information available due to low sales volume. Initial reliability is good but these cars do not seem to age well, with leaks from the cooling system and from the turbos pretty common as the cars age. Electrical issues are not uncommon as the cars age.
