While rear-wheel drive is available for traditional enthusiasts or drivers in the B.C. lower mainland, most CT4s will be all-wheel drive in Canada.
The CT4 is neatly styled and nicely detailed. The centre of the dashboard features a large touch screen which is underlined with a series of pushbuttons. The cabin is attractively styled and constructed from quality components. The diminutive size of the car results in a tight cabin, even in the front seats. Limited trunk space.

A 237 horsepower 2L four is standard, wth a 310 horsepower 2.7L turbo four from GM’s pickups, optional. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard with with 2L, with a 10-speed hooked up to the 2..7L.

The CT4-V is powered by the 2.7L turbo four, with the Blackwing motivated by a 472 horsepower, 3.6L turbo V6.

Except for active cruise control, most of the expected safety equipment is standard.

Oddly, for Canada, rear-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is a $2200 option on the three main trims, the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.

With a forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot, rear cross traffic and lane departure warnings, a lane keeping system, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, a power driver’s seat, wireless cellphone charging, L.E.D. headlights, remote starting and keyless entry and start, the base Luxury trim is nicely equipped. With active cruise control, rear auto braking, garage door opener, auto dimming driver’s door mirror, leather seating, ventilated front seats, an eight-way passenger seat, rain sense wipers, front and rear parking sonar, ambient lighting and a memory system, at a bargain price. The Sport is priced the same as the Premium Luxury but lacks but lacks its equipment such as ventilated leather seats and a number of other items, making is look significantly overpriced.

The 2.7L turbo four is a $4605 option on the Premium Luxury trim.
