The new Traverse looks bulkier, edgier and much more truck-like than its predecessor, reflective of Chevrolet’s contemporary styling lexicon. The painted triangular accent between the second and third side window is very odd. The driver faces a digital gauge display, to the right of which, is a large infotainment screen that sits over the highly-mounted centre console. Being of XXL dimensions, cabin and cargo space should be ample.
Power stems from the same 2.5L turbo four as in the Acadia and produces 315 and 328 horsepower, depending on the model. All-wheel drive is standard and the sole transmission choice in an eight-speed automatic.
The car is listed as a 2024 model but will likely fall into a pattern of failed GM new vehicle launches and be delayed.
