This past Monday, Volkswagen Canada announced more details to their settlement program for owners of 2.0-litre TDI VW and Audi vehicles affected by emissions test rigging software. Full details of what sort of buyback or repair options are available are still unclear, depending on whether the vehicle was purchased, financed, or leased. APA will be working to provide updates of details as additional information develops.
What you can do if you own one of the affected vehicles
Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., has set up an official information website to help owners learn more about the settlement in Canada. The website featured a vehicle lookup to discover if your TDI vehicle is covered and what your options will be going forward. A timeline is also presented with milestones for the settlement - though most significant points in the timeline are still yet to be announced.
